TeaTime Bookshop | Subscription review

This is my first Teatime bookshop box and I love it! Teatime bookshop is a crime/ Horror related book subscription box that comes with some lovely goodies.

Goodies

Sweet treats – Within this subscription box you get some surprise goodies. When you order your box you can choose whether you would like tea, hot chocolate or coffee which is lovely. We can choose them to just give the box that little bit of personalisation. You can also choose whether or not you would like biscuits too. I mean tea and biscuits? Yes please!

I chose tea, because I adore herbal tea and tea in general and was intrigued as to what type they would include. I ended up getting four types within my box; Fair-trade breakfast tea, Lemon and ginger tea, Green tea with Jasmine and Assam tea. I was so excited to see the unique flavours and cannot wait to see what future boxes bring.

I opted for biscuit addition mainly because my partner adores biscuits and I thought it would be a nice little treat for him. I personally love biscuits but I didn’t think they would send vegan ones so I just thought it would be nice for him. I suppose it could be better if they catered for vegan and GF but hey ho!

Bookish treats – Alongside the sweet treats, you also get some book themed goodies. This month I got a bookmark and a postcard with a lovely bike image on it. They were mind-blowing but cute little additions that put a smile on my face for sure.

Books

Of course, the star of the show is the book or books. With the teatime bookshop box, you can opt for either one or two books depending on what you fancy each month. You can also go with new or pre-owned books which is a lovely touch. It’s a great way of recycling and sharing the love.

Personally I went with a new book and with my order I decided on one book instead of multiple just due to money really and I just thought for my first one I would stick to just one book.

I got ‘The Mayfly by James Hazel’ which looks awesome to be honest! – ‘A mutilated body discovered in the woods. A murderous plan conceived in the past. A reckoning seventy years in the making…‘ I cannot wait to read this. It’s definitely my kind of book and one I would pick up myself.

Extras

Since this kind of shop are well up my street, I thought I would treat myself to some of the merchandise too to make up a bigger box of goodies.

Mug – I could not resist this glorious little deep blue mug with the lovely and very relatable quote ‘it’s always teatime’ on it with a little picture of a tea cup and saucer. It’s a lovely mug and I cannot wait to sip my favourite tea from it whilst diving into a good book.

Travel cup – I ordered this travel cup to accompany me out and about when I’m heading to the shops, on the school run or just heading to a coffee shop. It’s reusable, looks fab and is a really nice size to take out and about.

Tote bag – I then could not just scroll past this divine tote bag! It’s a canvas tote with the words “We lose ourselves in books. We find find ourselves there too” on it with a book open surrounded by sparkling stars. It is such a simple yet magical design and I can already see me heading out to a book shop with this bag and filling it with divine reads!

You can also see a video review up on my Youtube channel! Click the picture below.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it. I’d love to know what you think and if you have ever had a subscription from Teatime Bookshop.

Stay wonderful!
