Service, staff and time ( Bar service, table service etc.)
This restaurant is bar service rather than table service. During busy periods which is often it can be a bit of a queue to wait in before ordering food and drinks, however multiple staff jump on and get through the line quicker. The staff I have experienced have always been lovely, friendly and always down to earth. I’ve never had a member of staff make me feel rubbish or make my time there negative. I’ve been back time and time again and have developed a wonderful relationship with some of the staff including the manager who is just wonderful! He is kind, funny and always appears passionate about his job and making customers and staff happy. The wait for food is usually really good, even during busy periods.
Quality for money
These branches of restaurant are seen as higher prices for their food and drink, however the costs have never stopped me from going back time and time again! – I’m not too good with money and often have a strict budget due to still setting off with my business and yet I have chosen The Quinto many times over cheaper places due to the quality, variety and pure goodness of the place and food etc. I would definitely say that the money you pay is worth it once you’ve enjoyed a meal or drink there. The portions are fair and the quality has always been to a high standard during my visits!
Toilets
Although this may come across bizarre, I always find that toilets can say something about the place you’re visiting. I’ve always had this thing about using public rest rooms and therefore I’ve come to the terms that if somewhere has fairly clean toilets that it can help with the overall experience!
The toilets at the Quinto are always clean and well kept. The soap dispensers and toilet roll have been well stocked and the toilets have never put me off in any way, maybe other than when a light has broken and the cubicles have been dark, but that was nothing serious! Just a minor point.
My partner has confirmed that the Male toilets are also of good standard. They are clean and have a fair amount of cubicles for those who would prefer to pee in peace hehe!
My mum uses the disabled toilet/baby changing toilet due to slight mobility issues and I’ve been given the thumbs up from her regarding that rest room!
Decor and atmosphere
The Quinto has impeccable decor! It has always made me feel comfortable, interested and happy. They have a quirky, colourful yet warming atmosphere. It has the perfect mix of modern and vintage with the unique art work and mixture of colours, textures and furniture. The place is inviting and always catching the publics attention whilst walking past. During warmer weather they open their HUGE front windows and it just pulls people in! The restaurant is huge in my opinion. It has so many different areas that suit everyones tastes and needs. It has cosy nooks for those who want some privacy and also has tables against the front huge windows with views of the street outside.
It’s got the wow factor as a modern bar/restaurant without the use of fancy, brand new things that make the atmosphere feel a little less personal and homely. I love this places decor, its hugely inspiring for personal home decor hehe! Taking tips.
Accessibility & any limitations
The accessibility is fair. The front entrance is instant ground level access through double doors. The doors are big enough for wheelchairs and double prams. There are a fair amount of seats and tables on the ground level by the bar and they even have outside seating for those sunny days and cigarette breaks, alongside huge front windows opened up so you don’t miss any fun!
Â
For wheelchair and easier access for prams and those who have difficulties, there is a back door just a short walk around the corner which has no steps at all to access the bigger seating area at the back. Although the front to back walkway has about 5 steps, I understand that it can be harder and therefore I appreciate the back entrance for those who can not use those steps. I have also witnessed so many times, staff helping customers with lifting prams and things up the steps and are more than happy to help easier access. They also have a disabled toilet on and baby change room on the ground floor for those who are unable to access the ones upstairs.
Another huge thing is that this place allows you to bring your dogs in! They even provide a pot of dog biscuits and bowls for water, this is so inviting for someone like me but I understand if others have allergies then it can be off putting.
Hygiene from outer perspective
The hygiene has always been good when I have visited! The only thing I will say is that sometimes they struggle to clear tables and you may end up sitting at a table for a short while until it is cleared and cleaned, otherwise it’s best to just kindly remind the staff. The place is so big with so many different areas that I think they can struggle to keep on top of  clearing tables during busier times. I’ve always had clean plates, cutlery and glasses and have never been concerned about hygiene whilst in the restaurant.Â
Location
Since The Quinto Lounge is located in the heart of Sutton Coldfield centre, it is a lovely place to sit, relax and enjoy. Being opposite The Kitchen & Brewhouse and The Bottle Of Sack and next door to Slug & Lettuce, this area is wonderful! It’s a nice small area with a great day and night life. There are bus links right outside and you’re a short walk from The Parade making it easily accessible. The one thing I will say about the location is that it is bang in the middle of a main road and therefore you find there are a lot of ambulances and police cars driving through in emergencies, but if this is a problem, it is much quieter at the back of the restaurant!
Variety for allergy and dietary requirements
The Quinto Lounge is one of my favourite places to dine solo or with friends and family. They offer a variety of Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian and regular dishes. This means you can bring all of your crew along and there will be something for everyone to enjoy. I’m vegan, my friend is veggie and my partner is a meat eater and we all thoroughly enjoy trying the different options on the menu; It’s wonderful when you can ALL have an option for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and drinks! Being vegan can be difficult when going out, especially when you have no idea of the place you’ve been invited to! It can be intimidating if you are the only vegan and there is just salad on the menu, which is why I love the range in the Quinto!
They change their menu regularly so you can find some wonderful new things try time and time again!
Child Friendly?
One of the things I love about the Quinto is the crowd it brings in! You have elderly folk, mothers with babies, toddlers, teens, young adults and all kinds of people. For children they have a kids menu, highchairs, baby changing toilets and a fun little area that has paper, colouring books, reading books and colouring pencils. They are so child friendly and encourage family life within their walls. Of course they have a time where children can be out of the bar and heading home so that the restaurant opens it’s doors to the wild night life.
Overall and would I go back?
Overall this must be one of my most visited restaurants. I’ve been back so many times and I’ve seen so many wonderful things come and go from the menus over the years. It’s first on my list and I can’t wait to see many more new options on the menus! I would definitely recommend giving the Quinto Lounge a try if you’re ever in the Sutton Coldfield area, If not, they have other Lounges across Birmingham. Look on their site now to see if there’s one by you!
* I have a good relationship with the restaurant and am a regular customer who knows the staff and manager. I have not been asked or paid to create this post and have chosen to review due to my own personal love of the place!
