Let’s face it, most of us have a phone and we will often look to them when we feel anxious, upset or just any emotion so we can take our minds off of it. Many of us will find our favourite games too on the app store and turn to them during times of need or boredom.
I personally don’t like stressful, competitive games so I wanted to talk to you about the calming, anxiety easing games I have on my phone so I can help my emotions during times of need. Sometimes occupying your mind can really help, so it’s knowing the right games to turn to.
My Oasis
This game is a lovely little addition to your game folder on your phone. It’s calming, colourful and there is no pressure or stress to it at all. It emits positivity and calm and gives the user a relaxed feeling during their time on the game. It really is your own little Oasis with beautiful animals, nature and soothing music. The speech bubbles pop up and when you click them they give you lovely little messages to help you through your day.
You tap the screen for love hearts which is a great way to ease stress and help when you feel you need to fidget. By gaining hearts you can level up, increase your levels in different areas and collect new animals. You also listen to the music in the speech bubbles and then play back the tune given by clicking the notes on the stave.
There is a selection of music you can change to suit your taste and overall this game is full of different things to do when you need to come down from a hard day or any anxious feelings.
My Littler Terrarium
I recently discovered this game and it’s wonderful! It’s a game where you collect succulents, cacti, plants, trees and animals within little terrariums. You begin with one and build your way up to buying more. The plants grow and the animals will grow their attachment to you.
Throughout the game they speak to you and say nice quotes and funny stories. They each give you gifts every so often; sometimes money and sometimes items they love.
You feed them, chat to them and make their surroundings nice by often cutting the weeds and watering the plants around twice a day.
You have daily things to do and earn points when you complete them. As you level up you can buy even more plants and you unlock different ones throughout.
This game is calming and lovely and really helps me when I need to take my mind off things and ease my anxiety.
Cats are cute
This game is so chill it’s unreal! It’s essentially a game where you collect cats, they have their own home and building and you can level them and their house up. you pet them, play hide and seek and even play rock, paper, scissors with them.
Whilst you’re away off the game each house will earn fish and when you log in you will collect them. You use the fish and grass to buy things such as other cats and also use fish to level up cats and buildings.
You have a list to achieve each day but it’s no stress at all. The cats are cute, fun and just put a smile on your face until you can get home to your actual pets hehe.
Your cats will say random funny things to make you smile and will also let you know when they are hungry or want some fuss. To fuss them you have to rub the screen and to feed them you tap the screen. For me when I’m anxious I tend to fidget, so this game helps me as it relies on tapping to screen to feed the cats as well as gain points! f you want more relaxed games that you can play without any pressure then check out the casino sites on www.paybyphonecasino.uk.
Design home
This game is fab! It’s fun, enticing and allows you to embrace your creativity and love of interior design. You earn money, collect furniture and win prizes from being ranked out of 5 stars for each room you design!
If you love interior design, this is the game for you. It’s a stress free game for you to hop onto as and when you please. I often play this before bed or on my breaks from work. Have a go and see what you think. It’s a great way to get inspired when moving into a new place or even just to see what kind of designs you would do in your own home.
Word puzzles
The inner nerd in me loves puzzle games! Whenever I need occupying in anxious situations I will opt for a game where I have to think. I love word puzzles as they are the kind that make you think without stressing you out. I have two separate word games on my phone and use both of them during bored or anxious situations and I love them. If you like simple puzzles, I would most certainly give these word ones a go!
What kind of games do you have on your phone to turn to when you’re bored or needing to be occupied? I’d love to hear your faves!
Stay wonderful!
