Welcome to my 4th and final ‘Books I’ve read’ from January to August 2023! The next one will be August to December reads. So without further ado, here are some juicy reads that I have had the pleasure of reading. I have also filmed it as a video series over on my book instagram! You can read my other three posts too if you missed them: First post, Second post, third post.
Workplace romance by Elle Sharpe – This book was right up my street. *Chefs kiss*. It featured a professional writer, a workplace, a long lost romance needing to be rekindled and a great set of characters in general. The perfect combination for a romance book. It’s an easy flowing read and one I thoroughly enjoyed!
Heartstopper Volume 1, 2, 3 and 4 by Alice Oseman – Do I even need to comment? I remember deciding one night to read this whilst Lewis (My fiancé) was at a stag weekend. I was set to enjoy some time doing things for me, and so I dived head first into the Heartstopper universe on Webtoon. Needless to say, I fell in love. I read it in a day and then decided to watch the Netflix series. I love, love, love it. I even got my three nieces reading these after the bought the physical copies! Nevermind Heartstopper, this series is a showstopper!
Let’s Play (Read on Webtoon) by ‘Mongie’ Leeanne M. Krecic – A little different to my usual reads, but this was the first visual romance I have read. It was saucy, spicy, sexy.. All the S’s basically. I read all of it over a day or so, all the way to the end. I’m unsure if the author is creating anymore, but if they are, I have heard that it won’t be featured on Webtoon.
Everything is fine (Read on Webtoon) by Mike Birchall – This was my first online read, as recommended by a good friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s creepy, weird and leaves you feeling a little uneasy, which is exactly what it’s meant to do. So.. Job well done Mike! I read all of this in one day and it’s very recently restarted again, which is exciting. I’m enjoying following the updated episodes.
Thank you for reading. Let me know in the comments if you have read or want to read any of these.
Stay wonderful!
