Earlyish nights and feeling mentally awake call for a bit of reading πŸ“š I'm loving having @AmazonKindle on my phone. My current go to read on my phone is 'Under one roof' by Ali Hazelwood 😍

Lounas Stocking filler gift guide | A very merry lockdown

To make up those gifts boxes or fill the gaps with some small gifts, we look towards stocking fillers. Whether we use them to create our own advent gifts for loved ones, pack them into their Christmas stockings or even just as part of a gift box, it is super useful to have some ideas of these little wonderful gifts. As always these stocking fillers will vary depending on the type of person and what kind of interests they have so be mindful of that!Β

I have looked mostly at Amazon, Etsy and in my local supermarkets for my stocking fillers as there is a great range for all at affordable prices.

Jewellery that doesn't break the bank

Although Jewellery can be super expensive, you can also find some really nice stocking filler jewellery pieces that compliment a set nicely. For instance I have bought multiple friends and family bangles from Amazon with beautiful and inspiring quotes on, as well as receiving some myself. You can also find some really nice, affordable necklaces that make great stocking fillers and also hold a lot of sentiment. They may not be expensive but most of the time with this kind of gift it is the meaning rather than price tag. I love receiving gifts like this as there has clearly been a lot of thought behind it to make me happy. When someone is having a tough time, which this year many people are, these kinds of gifts can really lift spirits without having to go short on money.

Card games

Card games are a great addition to someones gift set! There are so many awesome games like Cards against humanity, would you rather, What do you meme? and Exploding kittens alongside regular cards and they make really awesome gifts for people including your secret Santa if you take part in one. Of course card games aren’t for all but damn do they make a fun and useful gift!

Socks and accessories

If you haven’t received socks for Christmas or your birthday then who are you?…. *Wink*. But seriously, socks are a great gift. I love opening a small gift or stocking filler and revealing it to be a pair or two or three of fluffy warm socks or even fun printed socks. You cannot go wrong! You can now buy some awesome personalised or funny printed socks on Amazon and Esty reading things like “If you can read this bring me beer/wine” and or even quotes about playing games and such. There really is something for everyone who wears or is able to wear socks.Β

Another great stocking filler is general accessories like key rings, scarfs, gloves, hats, PJ’s, slippers and so on. The good thing is you can buy these from pretty much any shop including your local supermarket so if you’re under lockdown or restrictions and retail is shut, you can always pick them up during your essential shop or online for great prices! One of my new favourite stocking fillers for friends is fun badges. I ordered a bunch of them from Amazon and I am in love so I’ve decided I may add some as small gifts!

Shower, bath, body & skincare

Alongside regular main beauty gifts as part of someones gift set, you can also pop in some stocking fillers like lip balm, mini eye shadow palettes, mini skincare sets, shower scrunchies and sponges, makeup sponges, soap, nail varnish, nail files, foot scrub, face masks and many more. They are a great addition to those who are in need or just would like some new products to try out. Lip balm is a great gift, especially for people like my big brother who practically uses lip balm as a life companion. I don’t remember seeing him without a lip balm. Even on a night out drinking he has his trusty chap stick in his pocket!Β

Here are a few cute and useful stocking fillers!

Superdrug Studio London Beauty CrackersΒ

Makeup Revolution shimmer bomb lip gloss

Makeup Obsession eyeshadow palette

Revolution skincare hand cleansing gel set

Home and lifestyle

All things home and lifestyle is right up my street! I love receiving endless candles, room sprays and things like this as well as giving them to my loved ones too. A huge difference in gifting ideas this year is actually the addition of scented hand gels and masks as these have become a huge part of our everyday lives with the pandemic and all so they make for a very useful gift for most people. So here are a few little ideas for those of you looking for inspiration in this section!

“Lost My Head” Room Spray

“Undress Me” Scented candle

Shop small

There are tonnes of stocking fillers by small and independent companies or talented individuals on sites like Etsy! I have found so many amazing things from small businesses that would make gorgeous stocking fillers such as Poppie Snow.

  • Poppie Snow – A beautiful business selling Homeware and Gifts of various ranges! When I saw “Poppiesnow followed you on Instagram“, I instantly went over to check them out and fell in love. They sell such a huge range of homeware and gifting. From simple products to very unique which I love meaning there really is something in it for everyone. I hope to purchase from them soon and will certainly show you what I find when I do!

Would you like to see some other Small business gift ideas? Look no further than my ‘Shop Small Gift Guide‘.

Food and drink

You cannot go wrong with this one! So if you’re recipient is tricky to buy for and you need to fill out the gift box with some small buys, look no further! Chocolate, cheese boards, crackers, sweet treats, homemade bakes, savoury snacks, chutney, spicy sauces, seasoned nuts and so on! You can add some trusty festive coffee, flavoured syrups, tiny bottles of alcohol like prosecco, gin, whiskey, baileys and rum. If they are into their ciders, beer, ale and such how about a little selection of unique ones or go simple with a pack of four of their favourite drink(s). It may not seem like a thoughtful one but I bet they’ll appreciate it! After all it’s one less thing they have to buy for themselves and can be used very well!

Thank you for reading! I hope this has inspired you to get your stocking filler gifts going. Let me know in the comments.Β

Stay wonderful!

Here is my unboxing of my first Pause subscription box in April!

April was all about reading and finding calm through reading. In order to embrace pausing though reading, this month included a task where we make Pompom book marks.

With green yarn it was lovely to follow the guide and find calm whilst making a little pompom bookmark.
