Yesterday being surrounded by wildlife was lovely at the @Girlguiding goes global day π What a fantastic event to be part of as a leader from our unit with the brownies and rainbows π

Even with restrictions beginning to ease, weβre still very much in a period of lockdown. As something many thought would only last a few weeks, to have it go on for several months has added to the challenge. Now more than ever, itβs important to stay focused on your mental health and make sure you take care of yourself.
If youβre finding yourself struggling, for whatever reason, here are some of the ways you can keep your mental health in check during lockdown.
With gyms shut and boredom leading to some questionable snacking, itβs more important than ever to put effort into maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Making sure you head out to exercise and cook some healthy meals can be a good way to stay on top of things, while improving your mental health too. If you have found yourself forming some bad habits during lockdown, these six simple ways to break a habit can help you snap out of it.
Having supportive people around you can help you stay balanced, but many people are finding this challenging when they canβt physically be with their friends or family. Keeping in regular contact with people can help, and gives you a chance to air your frustrations as well as enjoy some lighter conversations too.
It can also help to communicate with loved ones who are no longer here. While you might not be able to visit a cemetery right now, you could try https://www.psychicsofa.com/ as a way to help you connect at this time. Try new ways of communicating – you never know what could help you find calm at this tricky time. If you aren’t spiritually inclined that is totally understandable but for some, contacting those who aren’t here with us holds a lot of comfort.
Itβs been so long since things were normal that it can be tough to break away from it. But with some restrictions easing, you should make the most of them to help you find a routine. You can now go to shops, meet up with people outdoors at a distance and travel to see family further afield. Check the Governmentβs latest guidance on what you can and canβt do in England and start venturing further afield.
If you feel like your mental health is slipping, take some time to do something that you enjoy. This might be snuggling up and watching a film, reading your favourite book, playing some shooting games on the computer or simply chilling out.
If you ever feel overwhelmed or youβre struggling with your mental health, then itβs important that you reach out and talk to someone. You can contact your GP for advice (always call at this time), or you can contact one of the many mental health advice lines that are there to provide guidance and support. Donβt let things bottle up at this time, make sure you get some help.
Everyone is going to have good and bad days during lockdown, but it is important to do what you can to boost your mental health and take care of your wellbeing. Keep up a routine, stay focused and develop healthy habits to help you make it through. Lockdown wonβt last forever, but itβs important you prioritise your health and wellbeing right now.Β
