With the pandemic causing most businesses to be closed, a great solution to the café cravings would be to bring the coffee house to your home. One of the easiest ways to get started on bringing the coffeehouse to your home would be having a coffee machine. This doesn’t have to be fancy but a nice coffee machine can help with creating the experience. You’ll be able to make so many different types of drinks and can begin growing a nice collection of coffee beans too. Whether you want a more advanced coffee machine or just sticking to the basics, having a machine or item that helps make coffee is crucial. I find that even just having a milk-frother can create a warm, fuzzy coffee shop feeling by helping you create lattes and cappuccinos!
Special coffee supplies
If you’re a fan of multiple flavors then you’ll have to get some special supplies. This may include syrups such as hazelnut, coffee creamers, bubble tea supplies, or even the type of beans you purchase. What makes coffee-shop coffees so special is the fact that they often contain very unique flavors and these are all thanks to beans, creamers, and syrups. Other than just food, there are other coffee-related supplies such as steel cups and milk frothers that you can invest in too to enhance the experience. Each year I purchase a whole heap of Beanies coffee’s. They do all kinds of luxurious flavours and It helps bring the coffee shop feel to the comfort of my own home.
Designated spot
When sipping away at your favorite autumn beverage, you’ll need to have a certain spot to nicely have everything in place. Having a designated spot for all of your coffee-related goods will make it superb and it will feel just a little bit more official. This could include having something such as a coffee cabinet. Coffee cabinets are perfect because you can have all of your coffee gear and supplies all in one spot. You can then easily just close the cabinet so it doesn’t give off a cluttered appearance. If you like to be visually stimulated you could also have them on a shelf so you feel like you get that coffee shop experience each time you enter your kitchen ready to choose your beverage of the day
Create a food menu
Most good coffee houses are known for more than just their coffee, as you can expect to indulge in a variety of different dishes in your favourite café. It’s fair to say that a large percentage of coffee houses will stock mostly ‘brunch’ foods and light bites that are more snack foods than big meals, but this just means that it’s easy to prepare and doesn’t take too much cooking and stress in the kitchen. Creating your own little food menu that contains a few basic coffee house staple recipes is a great way to upgrade the vibe, and it can be so cheap and easy to keep a stock of a few key ingredients in your cupboards. Toast comes in all shapes and sizes, with avocado and tomato or fruit and jam, and you often find slices of cake or brownies, too. Many contemporary coffee houses stock healthy options like muesli and acai bowls, so learn more about these nutrient packed breakfast options to add a vitamin and mineral packed twist to your in-home coffee house experience.
These sorts of small qualities can add up to make the appearance. If ever you’re short of inspiration, simply head out into your favourite town or city to browse through the latest coffee houses to see what designs they use. You can also visit mood board pages online, and read through interior design magazines for extra guidance.
Artwork
If you go to coffeehouses you’ll notice there’s a style that most have in terms of artwork. It’s usually on the more modern side and it’s a bit dark. Coffee-shop-inspired artwork is a great way to get the vibes going. This can be any style of modern art that contains a lot of dark hues, coffee artwork, or maybe something a little more French-inspired. You can even go all out and choose the new thing these days, neon light signs!
Furniture
Adding pub-height tables and chairs is another excellent way to help with creating café vibes. This can also include adding other furniture such as a leather love seat nearby or even a bookshelf filled with books. These sorts of small qualities can add up to make the appearance.
Make it a destination
Whether you have a special little nook for this, or you’re wanting this to be an additional area to your kitchen, try to make it just a little special. Creating a destination will make you enjoy it more and it truly will feel like a destination to you. Using industrial furniture or having a brick house wall will add to the feeling.
Thank you so much for reading. As we approach Autumn, now is the time for making the coffee house experience.
