Earlyish nights and feeling mentally awake call for a bit of reading πŸ“š I'm loving having @AmazonKindle on my phone. My current go to read on my phone is 'Under one roof' by Ali Hazelwood 😍

Cold Season skincare | Blogmas Day 6!

Alex Steinherr Skincare

After a look around the worlds biggest Primark in my home city, I jumped at the chance to spend a long time looking at the skin care and makeup section! During my wander around I found the Alex Steinherr range and fell in love. This range is Cruelty free and mostly vegan friendly. They have multiple ranges such as ‘maximum moisture’, ‘sleep spa’, ‘Plump and glow’ and ‘pore balance’. I have products from all five ranges as seen in the picture here. I have used all other than the face mask but love the ones I have used. They are perfect for cold seasons skincare needs.

This Pore Balance super detox clay mousse face mask is perfect for me. It is calming, fragrance free and the perfect texture not being too thick or thin. It is easy to apply and feels soothing on the skin. It is a ‘high performance purifying and balancing deep skin cleanse’ and targets imperfections to help prevent breakouts as well as unclogging pores. I love popping this on with a face mask applicator, getting my cosy PJ’s on and relaxing with a herbal tea!

This Pore balance Low-pH sulphate free cleanser is magical. I found it strange at first as it is fragrance free and I have always had beautiful smelling products however I have started to love using this cleanser during my daily routines. After using this ‘non-stripping liquid face wash’ I have felt squeaky clean and super fresh ready for the day ahead. This product deeply cleanses pores and re-balances skin’s pH. It leaves you feeling clean and comfortable, plus it’s super easy to use on the go!

I haven’t yet used the mask as I haven’t had the time for an in depth pamper evening with all that has been going on in my family. I aim to use this soon during a cold and drizzly evening whilst watching Christmas films hehe!
This Maximum Moisture supreme sheet mask is ‘essence-soaked for optimum hydration and immediate skin barrier support’. It is perfect for my skin since during the colder seasons as I have very dry skin in most areas of my face. I am in dire need of hydration during these colder months and have reached for the ‘maximum moisture’ products very often to satisfy my skincare needs.

I have only used this Plump & Glow stick a few times and haven’t found the right time or place for it currently within my routine. It is a great on the go moisturising plumping stick and is great to pop in your bag on those days where your skin needs a top up. This stick is a waxy, oily type product and leaves your skin feeling hydrated but fairly oily so I most certainly would say needs to be used on dry skin as opposed to already oily skin. It is a great multi-purposeful product in the fact that you can use with some water to remove makeup or use as a cleanser. I find when using it as an on the go moisturiser it leaves a slightly bitty texture however it is still a great and easy to use product.

I am in love with this Sleep spa every night eye mask. I have used it each night since I got it. It is long lasting, gentle and fragrance free and makes my eyes feel fresh and clean ready for bed. It is easy to apply and very light on the skin helping to relieve any dryness and prep me for a relaxing evening.

Sleep Spa One-step night cleanser is an oil-to-milk condition cleanser for all skin types. It is moisturising and beautiful to use; easy to remove makeup with or use as a regular cleanser to remove impurities during your night time skincare routine. It is light, cleansing and super easy to use. It leaves skin feeling clean, fresh and hydrated ready for relaxing.Β

The ‘Maximum moisture’ moisture-locking everyday moisturiser is my most used product within my alex steinherr collection. It is the perfect product for my thirsty skin and I use this day and night. It is a thick consistency and a buildable, deeply nourishing emulsion. It is one of my favourite products and I cannot wait to try more from the maximum moisture collection including the sheet mask!

The plump and glow plumping lip gloss is a unique product I didn’t want to miss out on. It’s not usually something I would go for but I really wanted to try it since seeing it on the shelves to see how and if it works. I’ve used it once and love it. It is cooling, comfortable and makes a visibly beautiful appearance to the lips. It does what it says on the packaging and I’m pleased to have tried this. I look forward to trying this within my night out makeup routines.

PS...
Skincare

Whilst looking in the skin care section of primark I found these ‘PS…’ items and wanted to try them out.

This energizing jelly cleanser is perfect for those days where your skin needs a good scrub and polish. It’s great to use when skin is feeling tired, dull and bumpy etc. I like to use this on those days where my skin feels a little gritty and run down. It’s simple to use and helps me feel fresh and clean.

Although not necessarily skincare, these cucumber cooling gel packets are perfect for a pamper routine day or night when you need to feel fresh and relaxed. I keep them in the fridge and take them out when I want to lie back and relax for a while. The cooling feel really calms me and can be helpful during migraines and headaches for soothing that area.Β

LUSH Products

Wiccy magic muscles massage bar is one of my favourite things ever! I had it from my massage at LUSH spa Birmingham and they allowed me to keep it and take home. I still have it to this day and use it during massages at home and just a moisturiser during a pamper session. It is warming and has beautiful scents, perfect for the colder months!

These little pots of product were gifted to me by staff at LUSH during an event I was invited to. Magic crystals body scrub is one of my favourite products ever! It is bright purple (one of my fave colours), it is a fantastic scrub for those deep cleansing pamper sessions and it has a glorious minty fresh smell. I hope to buy a big version soon hehe!

The Love and light hand cream is a dry skin’s saviour! It is hydrating for dry hands and lifts you up from the moment you open up the pot! It’s zesty smell is enough to uplift before even applying it to your lovely hands.

Happy Happy Joy Joy hair condition may be a summer scented product but its moisturising traits are a perfect remedy for my hair during these cold seasons. I have been lucky enough to have some left over and I’m super glad!Β

The LUSH ‘Sleepy’ range is a favourite of mine. It’s beautifully and calmly scented and so lovely on the skin for your night time routine. I absolutely love using this sleepy shower bomb or using this shower gel and afterwards followed by my trusty sleepy moisturiser before lying in bed and feeling cosy during the colder seasons!

The sleepy range is one for all and I recommend during your next trip to try it out and take some home hehe.

What are your favourite
skincare wonders for the colder seasons?

Stay wonderful!

Here is my unboxing of my first Pause subscription box in April!

April was all about reading and finding calm through reading. In order to embrace pausing though reading, this month included a task where we make Pompom book marks.

With green yarn it was lovely to follow the guide and find calm whilst making a little pompom bookmark.
